Erik was born into construction. As a child he learned the building science from his grandfather who was a master carpenter. In high school, Erik began working for a family friend’s building company where he was groomed to be a builder apprentice. Shortly after high school, Erik started working with a team of master builders and carpenters where he was quickly given the responsibility of managing multiple custom projects.
Erik, in his 20s, branched out on his own starting his own carpentry company. As an entrepreneur, Erik was able to learn the value of clear honest communication with not only his clients but also trades personnel. During these years Erik was able to hone his ability into developing a clear scope of work.
Erik, in his 30s, desired more knowledge regarding the complete process of construction. He obtained a Civil Engineering Technology degree in 2017 from Gaston College.
Since 2017, Erik has worked as a Project Manager and Superintendent for custom builders. He realized that with his passion, experience and communication, his talents would be best suited for the community if he opened his own building company. K&E Homes was then formed in 2020.
Outside of work, Erik and his wife Katie are the proud parents to a very energetic son, Samuel. Erik enjoys activities like hiking and fishing with his son, playing board games with family and friends, golfing and gardening when not working.
